Appointment of the Commissioner of the Royal Gibraltar Police

It is notified for general information that in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by Section 48 (3) of the Gibraltar Constitution and Section 32 (1) of the Police Act His Excellency the Governor, acting on the advice of the Gibraltar Police Authority, has appointed Commander Owain Richards as the Commissioner of the Royal Gibraltar Police. He will take up his appointment on 1st July 2025 for an initial term of 4 years.
